Selections Process: UPPSC Pre Recruitment 2023
Preliminary Exam: The UPPSC Preliminary Exam is an objective-type multiple-choice exam that tests the candidate’s general knowledge and aptitude. The exam consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Both papers are of 200 marks each and are conducted in a single session of two hours each.
Main Exam: The UPPSC Main Exam is a descriptive exam that tests the candidate’s knowledge of the subject. The exam consists of eight papers, and the total marks for the exam are 1500. The candidates who qualify for the Preliminary Exam are eligible to appear for the Main Exam. Interview: The candidates who qualify for the Main Exam are called for an interview. The interview carries a maximum of 100 marks, and the candidates are evaluated on their personality, communication skills, and general knowledge. The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the Main Exam and the interview. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam are not considered for the final selection. The candidates who clear all the stages of the selection process are eligible for the appointment |
